Wanna get involved with this cool participatory project in advance of the federal election?

My name is Patrick Blenkarn and I’m an artist currently based out of Vancouver. I’m organizing a cross-country, DIY practice election called PRACTICE, taking place Sunday, October 18th, and I’m looking for performers in Montreal (and everywhere else) to hit the streets of their city and get people to practice the act of voting before the next day’s federal election. This is a DIY street performance for wherever you want to perform it. All that matters is that you are passionate about politics and democracy.

Step 1. Find a box.
Step 2. Print some ballots I send you.
Step 3. Head out and ask people to practice voting.
—Given that the future shape of Canada is central to this election’s outcome, we’ll all be practicing by voting for the best shape—circle, square, or triangle.
